Join the Arizona Forward Party for our monthly C.A.R.E.S. event with the Tempe Community Action Agency (TCAA) in their Escalante Community Garden. Their community garden resulted from neighborhood-led efforts to increase access to fresh produce in areas identified by the USDA as food deserts. A portion of the garden’s produce goes to the volunteer members who labor two hours a week in the garden. Another portion of the garden’s harvest is given to the TCAA food pantry to supplement emergency food boxes.

Where: Located behind the Escalante Community Center at 2150 E. Orange St., the entrance is on River Street. Find it by following the amazing mural by Sal Galvan.

What to bring: Hydrating beverage, sun protection, comfortable clothes with closed toed shoes and your green thumb!
