Forward's mission is to put power back into the American people's hands through electoral reform. We want dedicated representatives, not selfish politicians.
New Voting Methods: Imagine knowing your vote will always count. STAR Voting, for example, eliminates vote splitting and the spoiler effect. Approval Voting is cost-effective, simpler, and does the same. New methods encourage more competition and better options on the ballot beyond the two major parties. Open and Nonpartisan Primaries give every Louisianan a voice, regardless of party. Elected officials must better represent the broader electorate, not just party insiders.
Independent Redistricting Commissions prevent gerrymandering. When an independent, nonpartisan commission draws district boundaries, elections become fairer and more competitive. We should choose our politicians, not the other way around.
