Join the Young Forwardists team on Thursday, May 22nd, at 7:00 PM EST/4:00 PM PST for an exclusive Civic Engagement opportunity! As our political divisions continue to grow, it's up to every student at every high school and college to lead the charge toward change, starting with local ordinance and political engagement! This meeting will establish some ways that you can get involved locally, in your state, and nationally.
Agenda:
Week 1 (5/22): Educational Talk: “What is an ordinance? What does local policy look like?”
Brainstorm: What are the issues that impact YOUR town, particularly?
Run of Show:

Local policy ideas and continuations from YAG:
- Certain excerpts from existing bills.

Build teams:
- Random breakouts, share + discuss ideas;
- Bring your ideas back to the large group—what policies should the group go after?
- Vote + self-select into different groups.
Deliverables BEFORE: What part of your bill would fit into your town? How can it contribute?
