State Committee Minutes

• Chair Report:
  • meetings scheduled with Joel, Lindsey, Trevor and Keith Schmidt from Bridge Connections (Zappala campaign);
  • PA Statewide meeting September 18 at 8p, similar format to last month.
    • Inviting representatives from Bluestein and Zappala campaign. Please suggest other guests.
  • Committee of 70/ Ballot PA
    • Going off of Gust’s suggestion, we have reached out to BallotPA & Chairman Fyke, Chair McMurray, & Secretary Valimont had a meeting with them last week. This meeting went extremely well.

A motion was made to formally endorse BallotPA. This motion was seconded followed by an overwhelming majority voting in favor of the endorsement.

• Candidates Report
  • At the last candidate committee meeting, a discussion was on recommending each of the candidates who have applied for an endorsement. The Candidate Committee recommends endorsement for each of the candidates.

A motion was made to formally endorse Brittany Kosin for Township Supervisor of Warwick Township, Bucks County. This motion was seconded followed by an overwhelming majority voting in favor of the endorsement.

A motion was made to formally endorse Jordan Succi for Township Auditor of Northampton Township, Bucks County. This motion was seconded followed by an overwhelming majority voting in favor of the endorsement.

A motion was made to formally endorse Shannon Wheeler for Magisterial District Judges in Halifax/Jackson Township, Dauphin County. This motion was seconded followed by an overwhelming majority voting in favor of the endorsement.

A motion was made to formally endorse Timothy McMaster for Township Supervisor of Conewago Township, York County. This motion was seconded followed by an overwhelming majority voting in favor of the endorsement.

• It must be noted that we can still make further endorsements.

• The point of contact for these candidates now must follow the Post-Recruitment Checklist from National: https://kbase.forwardparty.com/books/forward-leader-recruitment/page/post-recruitment-checklist
• The other major item at last week’s was that the Zappala endorsement has encouraged the Joe Rocky campaign to seek an endorsement. Chairman Fyke noted that Secretary Valimont had originally suggested that we endorse him months ago but we had decided to wait. It is now strategically viable to do so & we are looking at an event on Thursday September 21, 2023.
  • We are hoping to have Andrew Yang speak at this event.
• Strategic Plan
  • Jack Merritt gave an update on the strategic plan. He sent out a updated version of the plan.
