I always felt confident about leading my state because it is time for a change to the two party system that is slowly become more outdated and Leslie did a wonderful job of driving my understand of what it takes to be a State Lead home! I am proud to be one of the first in Georgia to get it off the ground in my state and am proud of my other State Leads and am ready to hit the ground running. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting both of my fellow State Leads and learning about the Knowledge Base. Leslie Villegas is a great representative and is very open and informative for new members. I love this Party!

Great intro. Learning about Knowledge Base was helpful. The intro to Nation Builder was great – much needed. The discussion was useful. The tools to reach more people in our local area look great.

Although I still feel unprepared to represent the Forward Party to others, I know that the resources provided will help me become more confident. I am looking forward to reading the materials in Knowledge Builder. I enjoyed meeting the folks from other states and regions, and learning about our various backgrounds.

Prior, I had no clue as to what I might be getting into. It’s a bit more clear now – the path for getting involved. Still on the fence of what I want to do and how involved I want to be. Really good to see people from other states including one person from my own state. The Knowledge Base is impressive showing that this is a movement with lots of potential.

Orientation was super valuable. I’ve been hearing about the KB in our state Slack channel, and it looks like a tremendous resource. Feeling much more confident about where to find info and what do to next!

1. Barely prepared. I just broke the code for accessing info from FWD HQ, and here you guys come out with a whole training to get me up to speed. Awesome! Thank you. 2. Prepared, and like I have a channel of preparation to follow so I can get up to speed. Good stuff! 3. Most useful part was the Onboarding Checklist: I have a lot of specific things to do. That is just great! Thanks! 4. I thought this Leader Onboarding was done perfectly: The Pledge and Code of Conduct, then specific steps to do first, followed by gaining access to all the rest of it. You guys have been working hard, and it shows!

I could not get the page for comments to respond. The presentation was very helpful and informative. I was surprised with the NB’s size and depth. Our work is cut out for us for sure. Leslie patiently and clearly presented many important points. She clarified Forward’s principles and pointed out key topics in the KB.

Training was great. I would suggest for this feedback use Survey Monkey or something so you can accumulate data regarding the training.

I felt the orientation was worthwhile and Valessa Nantona is a sparkler (that’s a good thing)! These sessions are essential for new folks starting from zero and trying to catch up to a fast-moving train. A suggestion would be to hold a follow on session showing what success looks like using the new tools. Ideally, a real-life example with a start-to-finish scenario. Not overly complicated but, because we are very data-dependent, just enough to show how we can all use the tools consistently. Objective >> strategy >> contacts/communication/documentation >> metric >> results.

Leslie did a great job and was very thorough!

Before orientation, I felt neutral about leading in my state. After orientation, I felt prepared about leading my state. The most useful part about orientation was learning about tools and resources, learning about the qualities and expectations of FWD leaders and meeting leads from other states. Leslie did an AMAZING job of presenting so much information in a clear and concise way, without it being overwhelming and daunting. Thank you!

Leslie did a great job summarizing the role and responsibilities of a Forward Party Lead. The presentation was clear, concise, and succinctly fit within a little more than an hour. I feel much more comfortable using Nationbuilder and will spend time learning how to use Discord. I feel reasonably prepared to help lead the county within my state and will leverage the state leaders to assist as needed.

I felt unprepared before the training. I didn’t have the correct access.

After orientation I feel well prepared.

The most useful part was learning the tools.

A close second was learning the values expected of leaders.

Send out invites that automatically calculate the time zones. I showed up an hour early bc the time zone wasn’t indicated and I had to create a calendar invite manually.
