With two local Forward Party candidates running for office, Arlington is now part of a national movement to offer voters fresh thinking. Local government often is dominated by a single party in much of the country. As a result, elections lack competition. People with competing ideas or from outside the establishment party struggle to break through.

Single party governance can suffer from unchallenged policies and limited perspectives. Party loyalists end up as the only voices represented in election results. Meanwhile our national politics grow more divisive and counterproductive.

The Forward Party aim is to bring competition back to local elections, and the voice of the people back into government. Backing 100 candidates nationwide this year, the Forward Party is proud to endorse two local candidates in Arlington. Come meet them.
