Q: If you answered yes, please share your experience. Otherwise just submit.
A: We are moving back to Sangamon County this summer, so we’re not there just yet. I’m not an expert on any issue, but as a former journalist I have a broad knowledge. I’ve also worked with a local nonprofit on mental health, education, and financial security issues. And I’m the former director of ethics and justice for the largest Protestant Christian group in Texas (nine years). I began getting involved earlier this year with Forward Texas, but then we decided to move so I never got fully engaged. I expect to own a home in Riverton soon and will move there in a few months. I can be involved digitally now, but look forward to being there and getting to know people personally.

Q: If you answered yes, please share your experience. Otherwise just submit.
A: Regarding economic development, I have worked for two nonprofit organizations who practice economic development, especially pertaining to underserved and undermined communities. As an entrepreneur myself, I highlight BIPOC owned businesses and organizations regularly. Pertaining to racial justice and equity, I once served the Unitarian Universalist Association as one of the thought leaders of their anti-racism and anti-oppression programming and platforms. I am the co-founder of Rockford (IL) group Rockford Anti-Racism Network. I have traveled to New York City, Charlottesville, VA, and Ferguson, MO taking part in much needed anti-racism and police brutality efforts. I have helped communities in Minneapolis, Charlottesville, VA, and Rockford, IL understand the dangers racism, racial inequity, police brutality, economic injustice, sexism, and poverty. I have worked with local and national immigrant organizations as well as a community organizer and events creator.

A: As an American living in a uncontrolled gun crazed society, I have become a single issue voter. I WANT ASSULT WEAPONS BANNED. I will not support any party or person who believes in the current insane interpretation of the 2A.

A: My experience is that I have lived the majority of my life in the state of Illinois. I have seen the decay and separation of the 2-party machine. I’m both mentally and physically exhausted by the pendulum of both parties.
