We are excited to welcome Jerry Ramos, who is running for Sheriff in Hall County in the 2028 election. Jerry has a truly unique perspective shaped by his time in the Army, his work in security and law enforcement, and his experience raising 8 kids (!!). After seeing opportunities for improvement in the system, he decided to step up and run for office himself.
His journey perfectly captures the "Start where you are" message that Mayor Copenhaver shared during our February call. In that spirit, we’ll end the meeting by brainstorming small, manageable steps we can each take to contribute to the momentum of the Forward Party and the changes we want to see in our communities.
Don't worry—this isn't an intervention to talk you into running for office (unless you really want to!). We promise no one will be drafted into a campaign by the end of the night. It’s just a chance to connect and collaborate on how we can all play a part, no matter how small.
