Alisa Van Langeveld grew up in Bountiful, lived in the Avenues during college and is raising her own family in North Salt Lake. She has extensive experience serving the community in District 8 as a North Salt Lake City Council member, former Community Council Chair and PTA President, as a Girl Scout Troop Leader, church volunteer, and non-profit board member. Alisa earned a PhD from Brigham Young University and is an adjunct faculty member at the University of Utah in the Family & Consumer Studies Dept.

As an North Salt Lake City Council member, she works on policy surrounding the city's annual budget, planning processes, public works project, public safety, and more. She will use experience in non-partisan governing to work on important issues at the legislature. Issues that are best solved by listening to all sides, and collaborating together.
