As a physician and mental health professional, Dr. James Rives is the right person to address the education crisis ongoing in Arlington County. Dr. Rives has been an Arlington resident since 1999 and has been an active community member as a church choir director and accompanist for the Mount Eagle Elementary School Choir. He has two children in the public school system and has been an advocate for ensuring that the school system serves both constituents and students. Dr. Rives is an advocate for using constituent input and data, rather than political biases, to inform policy decisions. He knows that community input, an objective examination of data, and a focus on measurable results are crucial to make policies that will equip students to realize their dreams.
