Robert Parkanyi is the son of immigrant parents who survived the Holocaust and escaped Communism during the Hungarian Revolution. He grew up in the boroughs of New York City until he finished college; lived in several parts of the country, wherever his profession took him. He and his wife have lived in Clinton Township, Hunterdon County, for the past 27 years. Rob currently serves on the Clinton Township Environmental Commission. He actively participates with various charitable organizations, from building homes to harvesting vegetables. 

Robert sees the inefficiencies and misplaced priorities in our government and believes his education and experience can significantly improve the way our hard-earned tax dollars are spent or should not be spent.  He also sees too much of politics being brought into our policies. Having spent his entire professional career making projects and processes better and more efficient, he would like to bring those same skills to Hunterdon County government. Robert believes the County Commissions should be a facilitator in having the various municipalities working together in solving regional problems. With support from the County, they can solve these issues together.
