Stephen Kent is a candidate for Manassas City Council. As early as 7th grade, Stephen knew he wanted to be in public service and give voice to the concerns of his community. After graduating UNC-Greensboro with a Bachelors in Political Science, he has worked for 10 years in public policy and nonprofit advocacy, focused on criminal justice reform, technology and housing policy, as well as mending political polarization in the culture. Stephen is a published author, public speaker, Eagle Scout and active Assistant Scoutmaster to an all-girls BSA Troop in Northern Virginia. Now age 34, married and raising a teenager in Manassas, Virginia, Stephen is passionate about bringing people together over shared values and the search for common ground. His campaign has focused on education outcomes, housing and affordability.
