Michael Hutchinson's Profile
Hutch believes his campaign isn't about him—it's about serving the community. He doesn't accept corporate, PAC, Super PAC, or party contributions. His campaign events, like the Music for the Hungry concert series, aim to raise awareness about hunger and directly support local food shelves. These events also bring people together, encouraging civic engagement while making a difference and sharing good times.
When elected, Hutch will work hard in the legislature and locally to restore faith in government. His opponent’s party has run on a platform that “government doesn’t work,” and they've succeeded in proving it. One example: Utica, a small town in district 20b, received $3.2 million to dig a safe well. Yet, they had to hire consultants to navigate the federal grant—without help from local or state officials, including Hutch’s opponent. Our government should serve the people, helping them lead safe, healthy lives—something they all failed to do for Utica.
