Dylan Hirsch-Shell is a scientist, engineer, and community advocate running for Mayor of San Francisco. He holds degrees from MIT and UCLA, including a Ph.D. in Neuroscience, and spent over 12 years as an engineer at Tesla, leading global teams and developing cutting-edge electric vehicle technologies. Dylan is deeply rooted in San Francisco, with family history in the city dating back to 1870. He's running for Mayor to bring his problem-solving skills, technological expertise, and commitment to social justice to City Hall, where he will work to address the city's most pressing challenges and create a more equitable and sustainable future for all San Franciscans.

Dylan joined the Forward Party because he believes that our current political system is broken and that we need a new approach to governance that transcends partisan divides and focuses on finding common-sense solutions. As an Independent, Dylan has long been frustrated by the gridlock and polarization that plague our two-party system. He is drawn to the Forward Party's commitment to electoral reform, evidence-based policymaking, and a more inclusive and collaborative approach to politics. He believes that these values are essential for creating a government that truly works for the people and addresses the urgent challenges facing our nation.
