Krist Novoselic
Krist Novoselic was born on May 16, 1965 in Compton, California and grew up in Los Angeles, Croatia and Aberdeen, Washington. He was a founding member of the legendary rock band Nirvana. Along with bandmates Kurt Cobain and David Grohl, Novoselic helped to change the course of music history in 1992 when Nirvana snapped up Billboard magazine's number-one spot with their highly acclaimed album Nevermind, which went on to sell millions of copies around the world. Nirvana opened the doors for a new generation of musicians and bands. Krist is active in his local community as President of Grays River Grange. He was Chair of Wahkiakum County Democratic Central Committee, also serving as precinct committee officer and state committee officer, from 2006 to 2009; when he resigned to become a political independent. Krist was Chair of FairVote from 2008 until 2019. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees with the Washington State Historical Society. Krist’s current band is 3rd Secret. He is a pilot and avid gardener.
