Welcome to the FWD Black Voters Committee! 

The Forward Party Black Voters Committee is a community of Black Americans working to expand democratic participation, leadership, and civic engagement within the Forward Party and across the country.

Throughout American history, Black leaders have been at the forefront of the struggle to strengthen our democracy. From the fight for voting rights to challenging systems that excluded everyday citizens from power, Black leadership has helped move the nation closer to the promise of equal participation in our democracy. The Forward Party Black Voters Committee continues this tradition by building a network of Black leaders, voters, and organizers committed to improving our democratic institutions.

Our Goals

  1. Support Forward-aligned candidates and leaders emerging from Black communities.
  2. Ignite participation among Black voters who feel disengaged from the two-party system.
  3. Elevate democracy reform to the forefront of the modern civil rights conversation.
  4. Create spaces for dialogue on how we can move our communities Forward through independent leadership and innovative political solutions.
