Women's Committee Executive Team Member and Intern Tessa Haidu wowed us all with her presentation on a recent United Nations Meeting she attended concerning women. She spoke during our July 31st, 2025 General Committee Meeting.

Tessa Haidu is a junior in high school based in New York City interning for the Women’s Committee Executive Team with experience working in communications, coalition-building, and policy advocacy. In her role, she contributes skills developed from these fields to social media development, outreach, and related messaging.

Throughout the past few years, exposure to a huge diversity of communities and the unique social issues that affect each of them has led her to develop an interest in politics and social change. She seeks to pursue this interest further in work for the Forward Party, in advocating for gender equality in and through new kinds of politics, and in involvement with humanitarian efforts on the international stage. Through participation in the political world at multiple scales, she hopes to be a voice for women and youth across the world and bring more visibility to them as key players in achieving necessary change.
