The Forward Party is officially on its way to the state of Maine, and we couldn't be more excited. We have until the end of 2023 to register 5,000 Mainers with the party to achieve official party status in the state.
Forward is a new, unifying political movement built for the 62% of Americans who believe the two party system is broken and it's time for a new path forward.
We were founded by independently-minded leaders from across the political spectrum, from Democratic Presidential Candidate Andrew Yang, to former Republican Governor of New Jersey Christine Todd Whitman, as well as local leaders in Maine like former State Rep. Owen Casas. These leaders - like the broad coalition of 250,000 Americans who comprise Forward - have very different perspectives on the issues, but they share the belief that American democracy is at stake, and our system has to change.

We prioritize free people, thriving communities and vibrant democracy. We believe in empowering local citizens to make the decisions that work for you and your community, not giving power to partisan power brokers and wealthy elites. For more information on our priorities, click here.

We need 5,000 people to register with Forward in Maine, and we need to begin building local coalitions of community activists, leaders and organizers all across the state to build solutions that work for our local communities. If this describes you, it's time to get to work.
