+ I AM A NEW FATHER. HERE IS WHAT I WANT FOR OUR CHILDREN.

I am a new father. I am willing to do anything to ensure our children live in a society that resolves our conflicts with creativity and compassion instead of through divisive, dehumanizing and dogmatic propaganda driven politics.

I will do anything to ensure our children grow up in an environment which is premised on love of health instead of fear of sickness. I have considered the other candidates in this race, and I will not condone their advocacy for subjecting children to what seems to be indefinite years of policies that I believe will greatly affect our children’s ability to:

*see fellow humans as safe and trustworthy potential co-creators in community rather than as vectors of disease;

*to know the learning and emotional benefits of physical and social closeness;

*to develop the numerous and varied psychological and social skills learned through normal, less fear-dominant social ecosystems

I am a US Marine Corps veteran. I will never forget that our country went to war because of government lies, trumpeted by billion dollar propaganda campaigns carried out by mainstream media. I know a government and society which allows this to happen needs deep healing and profoundly deeper understanding and commitment to the ideals we share, or at least the ideals we should resolve to share.

After my time in the Marines (2003-2007), I became part of the leadership in America's largest antiwar group of Iraq of Afghanistan veterans, Iraq Veterans Against the War, where I spent years committed to organizing for peace while unlearning the war mentality and dehumanization that prevents the vast majority of humanity from casting aside the systems and oligarchs that have imprisoned our imaginations and captured our democratically intended institutions.

I am committed to preventing unnecessary and unjust wars, and to helping to teach the skills of reverence-based conflict resolution.
