In early January, the Maine Forward Party was recognized as a Qualifying Political Party. This temporary status lasts for one year; the party must register 5,000 residents of Maine as Forward by the end of 2023. If the party fails, it cannot begin the process again until December 2024, meaning the Maine Forward Party team will not be officially recognized until 2026. In this campaign, you will educate voters about the Forward Party, walk them through the mechanics of changing their party affiliation, and invite them to local policy discussions in their community and leadership roles within the Maine Forward Party.
